Elizabeth Lawley grew up in a small town outside of Pittsburgh Pennsylvania.  She studied Political Science at Seattle University, attaining her BA in 1995.  Shortly thereafter Ms. Lawley headed South to California and attended Cal Northern School of Law where she attained her JD in 1999.  Ms. Lawley also earned her Certificate in International Legal Studies taught by Supreme Court Justice Anthony Kennedy through McGeorge School of Law.

Ms. Lawley practiced civil litigation in the area of general liability with a focus on construction related cases in the Sacramento area for 15 years.  More than 10 of those years were spent as a partner in a statewide firm, spanning 10 offices.  Eventually an opportunity arose to open a new Sacramento office for another statewide firm looking to expand its reach.  Ms. Lawley accepted this opportunity, became a partner at that firm and opened their Sacramento office, which remains successful today.

Always having been a huge fan of the San Diego area, Ms. Lawley relocated to Carlsbad in 2017, continuing to work for the same statewide firm out of both the Sacramento office and the San Diego office.  After working the “big firm lifestyle” for many years, and gaining invaluable experience by doing so, Ms. Lawley decided it was time to move on to a new challenge and founded the Lawley Law Group.  Opening this new practice has afforded her the opportunity to provide better service to her clients by offering more personalized attention.
